Remote Monitoring and Management is referred to as RMM. It refers to the centralized software platform that IT teams and MSPs utilize to monitor system performance, uphold device security, and resolve endpoint problems from a single dashboard.
"RMM" is used in the industry to refer to both the underlying software platform and the operational strategy (proactively maintaining systems operating).
The primary infrastructure supporting client operations is one of the managed "endpoints":
• Workstations (desktops and laptops)
• Physical and virtual servers
• Network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, and routers)
By eliminating the need to log into individual machines, an RMM platform with PSA software provides technicians with unified visibility throughout a client fleet.
