When it comes to popular PEs, the Oregon Ducks aren't strangers at all. With quite a few kicks going for crazy amounts of money on eBay, it appears as if another dope exclusive has surfaced. This time around, it's their "Support Our Troops” nike free trainer 5.0 PE that is available. Borrowing the military theme from their Spring Game, which former coach Chip Kelly used to support the troops, these joints feature a military drab upper and subtle hints of yellow. While one tongue logo acknowledges the shoes motif, the "It Never Rains in Autzen Stadium" tag makes light of the fact that it rains there all the time.
Nike has released the Free 3.0 trainer - a fast and versatile new training shoe which lets athletes do it all: "run, cut, jump and lift". The upper of the shoe has been designed to support rapid lateral changes of direction, while the outsole is flexible and cushioned for comfort."Speed is a weapon. Athletes train hard to become faster," said Shawn Hoy, Senior Director of Nike Training Footwear. "The nike free 3.0 is built to enable our athletes to become faster by allowing the foot to move naturally while providing stability regardless of how they are training."
"Athletes are faster when the foot moves naturally," adds the press release. "The innovative outsole of the nike free 3.0 v5 features hexagonal flex grooves that offer six different flex points to enable natural motion. Mid-foot Nike Flywire technology provides superior stability and the support needed for rapid lateral movements and cuts in every direction."

The running shoe is no longer just about two layers of sturdy soles or complex foam layering. Reebok’s ZPump Fusion and nike free run 3 take shoe science to the next step. Reebok improvises with a template from the past, while Nike has come up with a supremely lightweight invention. _________________ Gerald ASDZ Davis |
