The May Spotlight Drop 3 update in MLB The Show 26 brings a solid mix of grindable program content, high-rated Diamond rewards, and a new pack drop that adds more chase cards into Diamond Dynasty. It’s a typical mid-season style content update, but with enough useful cards and offline rewards to keep players busy for a while.

Below is a clear breakdown of what’s included in Pack Drop 3, the Spotlight Program rewards, and the additional content tied to this update.

May Spotlight Program Drop 3 Overview

The May Spotlight Program continues its structured progression system, where players complete stat missions and moments to earn Diamond-tier rewards. Drop 3 introduces three main earnable cards:

Nick Kurtz – 94 OVR First Baseman (Headliner reward)
A.J. Ewing – 92 OVR Center Fielder
Brandon Sproat – 91 OVR Starting Pitcher

These cards are designed to fit different team needs. Kurtz stands out as the centerpiece hitter, while Sproat gives a reliable arm option for rotation depth. Ewing fills out a solid outfield speed/contact role depending on how you build your lineup.

Alongside these earnable rewards, the program also continues the usual mix of moments, stat missions, and repeatable progression tasks that help players stack rewards without needing to spend Stubs.

May Spotlight Pack Drop 3 Highlights

The Pack Drop 3 bundle is available either through program rewards or directly from the Show Shop for 25,000 Stubs. It guarantees at least a Topps Now or Spotlight Series player, with a 1 in 4 chance of pulling a 94 OVR Diamond.

Headlining the pack:

Aaron Ashby – featured as the top pull and one of the most valuable relief arms in this drop

Other notable players included in the pack pool:

Henry Bolte
Yohendrick Pinango
Rodolfo Duran (C, Padres) – 92 OVR catcher option

The pack is structured around mid-to-high tier Diamonds, meaning it’s not purely jackpot-or-bust. Even the lower pulls can fill roster gaps or serve as bench depth in Diamond Dynasty.

Additional Content in the Update

Beyond the Spotlight Program and pack drop, this update also adds some useful offline and free content.

May Flowers Conquest Map

The new May Flowers Conquest Map continues the trend of repeatable offline grinding. Completing it once rewards:

All-Star Series Jim Rice (93 OVR)

What makes this map especially valuable is that it is repeatable, allowing players to farm a 20-pack bundle of standard Show Packs multiple times. For players who prefer offline grinding, this is one of the better value additions in the update.

Free Memorial Day Gift

A limited-time Memorial Day reward pack is also available in the Show Shop. This free pack includes exclusive equipment items for both Diamond Dynasty and Road to the Show, including a custom bat skin.

It’s a small reward compared to the Spotlight content, but still worth grabbing since it’s completely free and time-limited.

The May Spotlight Drop 3 update in MLB The Show 26 doesn’t radically change the game, but it does what these mid-month content drops usually aim for: provide a mix of grindable Diamonds, a strong chase pack, and repeatable offline rewards.
