These days plastic storage containers are used from storing anything food related to storing clothing or collectibles.

They come in many sizes and are designed to fit on almost any shelving system. Some of these containers are even colored for ease of identifying the contents later.

Most of these totes will have a lid that locks in place. They make a few styles of locking lids. If you are storing food, the lid will seal air tight so that food can be preserved longer.

Larger bins will have locking lids that merely keep the lid in place if jostled or bumped. This ensures that the contents stay safe once they are placed inside.
