adidas superstar has punched pretty heavily of late with all sorts of guerrilla-like tactics to support its ‘First never follows’ platform. It deploys a huge roster of talent too, from icons like David Beckham to a global grime superstar like Stormzy. As such, the protracted transfer this summer of the world’s hottest footballer, Paul Pogba, who is also in the Adidas stable, back to Manchester United, has provided an unprecedented opportunity. And boy has Adidas taken it.
Less than two years ago, it looked like adidas superstar women was faltering. Its growth had stalled, and it had big exposure to Russia, whose currency was in free-fall. In the U.S., meanwhile, not just Nike but the upstart Under Armour was beating the German company. Third place was humiliating for an industry pioneer. In the last quarter, though, Adidas won back the second spot.
“Adidas is so comfortable—I could be wearing a high-end fashion dress but those Stan Smiths will still be my go-to!” she says. there’s more reason than ever to opt into that laid-back idea of personal style; standouts in the collection, which goes on sale on August 18, include paint-by-numbers hoodies and dresses. “It’s all about the material and color,” says Ora who also reinterpreted classic shoe silhouettes such as the adidas superstar mens and recent favorite, the Tubular Defiant. And with Fashion Week coming up, Ora is certainly aiming to put her best foot forward. So what we expect from her front row style? Says Ora, “I plan to mix pieces up with accessories, jewelry, and the hair style!” _________________ James005 |
