Would you believe that a bunch of American cities actually banned Pinball machines between the 1940s and the 1970s?! – like that was the actually ‘worst’ thing that was happening in America at the time… yeah right! Whatever the case, the old embargo has not stopped New Balance from using the family friendly fun as the muse for the latest double header of new balance 580 releases. One side of the flipper features a 3M covering accented with black, while the other half comes wrapped up in navy, complemented by hits of red and gold.
We hope your wallets are feeling thick today, New Balance has paid a visit to Chicago leather tannery Horween to cook up something seriously special. This Made in The USA pair of new balance 996 boasts a luxurious deep burgundy wrapping of Horween’s waxed leather, accented by tanned brown leather detailing. This thing is serious about its details and the execution proves it tenfold.
We ain’t no gang members, but if we had it our way, you would catch us in blue suede shoes for days. Why? – just check these pearlers above. Supple blue suede gets cosy snuggled up against matching perforated suede, all while a blanketing of black mesh bear hugs the heel. Big two-tone grey ABZORB midsoles provide the mattress comfort down low, finishing off this striking Elite new balance 999.
Another upcoming New Balance collaboration for Ronnie Fieg, coming hot on the heel caps of the ‘Central Park‘ themed new balance 850 late last week. Ronnie continues to pay tribute to New York, one sneaker at a time with the NB850 ‘Brooklyn Bridge’. The classic silhouette has been constructed from cream and navy blue perforated premium leather, while the nubuck upper with red trimmings nicely highlights the branding. Sky blue flat laces and a speckled midsole completes the fresh dressing. _________________ Towanda ASDZ Keppler |
