After an 11-year career that included a Super Bowl victory with the Philadelphia Eagles, Nick Foles has decided to retire from the NFL.Foles announced his retirement released to social media."It's been an incredible 11-year journey filled with unforgettable moments and amazing people," Foles said. "From being drafted by the Eagles to winning the Super Bowl, every step has been a ble sing."After being drafted by the Eagles in the third round of the 2012 draft, Foles played for the St. Louis Rams and Kansas City Chiefs before making his way back to Philly Brandon McCarthy Jersey before the 2017 season.Stepping in as the starter after Carson Wentz was injured in Week 14, Foles led the Eagles to the NFC Championship with wins over the Atlanta Falcons and Minnesota Vikings.In Super Bowl LII, facing off against the New England Patriots, Foles was named the Most Valuable Player of the game after completing 28 of 43 pa ses for 373 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception. He also caught a TD pa s in the game from tight end Trey Burton, making him the first player to both throw and catch a touchdown pa s in a Super Bowl.He would spend one more year with the Eagles before joining the Jacksonville Jaguars as a free agent in 2019. Foles was traded to the Chicago Bears in 2020, where he would play for the next two seasons.With the Bears, Foles compiled a 3-5 record as a starter, pa sing for 2,102 yards, 11 touchdowns, and eight interceptions.Foles last played in the NFL during the 2022 season as a member of the Indianapolis Colts and had been a free agent following his release by Indianapolis in May of 2023.He is tied for two NFL records: the most touchdown pa ses in one game (seven) and the most consecutive completed pa ses (25).
