Tap water in some regions arrives at three hundred ppm before anything is added, mostly calcium and magnesium, so a full dose of cal mag on top pushes the mix far higher than intended. Measuring source water once with a cheap meter tells you what you are actually working with. Feeding advice that accounts for starting water quality appears at https://queenfeminizedseeds.com in the nutrient pages. Filtered water is not essential for most people, but knowing the number is.
