Helmet head is when the shell stays clamped on the cotyledons after the seedling emerges, usually because the medium surface dried too quickly. Misting the shell and waiting a few hours softens it enough to lift free, and the seedling troubleshooting on https://kushindicaseeds.com warns against pulling at it while dry. Damaged cotyledons stunt growth for a week or more. Planting slightly deeper avoids the problem in the first place.
