Farm Armourer's Scraps fast in Path of Exile 2 by salvaging Superior armour at the Salvage Bench, plus dense maps and quick vendor refresh checks to keep 20% quality on key gear for tougher defence.
In Path of Exile 2, the campaign's got a nasty habit of lulling you into feeling tanky, then smacking you with a random damage spike. Armourer's Scraps are the quiet fix for that, and they're way more reliable than praying for a perfect rare to drop. Quality is simple: push a piece of armour up to 20%, and you're multiplying the base armour, evasion, or energy shield that everything else scales from. If you're also short on other supplies, a lot of folks will top up through U4GM so they can keep crafting and mapping without stalling out mid-progression.
Salvage first, vendor later
If you want a steady stream of scraps, stop treating "Superior" gear like junk. It's basically scrap-shaped loot. The moment you unlock the Salvage Bench, your routine changes: anything with inherent quality gets broken down. Helmets, gloves, boots, shields, chest pieces—doesn't matter, just salvage it. Vending it for a couple of coins is a waste. You'll also save yourself a lot of eye strain by tweaking your loot filter so "Superior" bases show up loud and obvious, because once the ground is carpeted in drops you will miss them.
Farm where armour actually drops
You'll still pick up scraps naturally, but density is what makes it feel effortless. During leveling, you'll notice certain side zones and tower-style areas spit out more armour pieces, especially when there are lots of elite casters and chunky packs. Run those again if you're dry. In endgame, the same idea applies, just bigger: juice your maps so more items hit the floor. Roll for item quantity, extra rares, pack size, duplication—whatever your build can handle. When the loot volume jumps, scraps don't feel like a targeted grind. They just pile up while you're doing "normal" mapping.
Small habits that keep you topped off
There's a simple trick people forget: vendor cycling. Each time you level, town vendors refresh. Type "quality" in the search bar, grab any cheap Superior armour, and salvage it on the spot. It's not glamorous, but it bridges the gap when you're short before a boss or a crafting session. And be picky about spending scraps. Don't dump them into some random white chest you'll replace in thirty minutes. Hold them for a strong base, a good unique, or anything you know you'll keep, and always add quality before you commit to heavier crafting so every other upgrade has more value. If you'd rather skip the scavenger loop and focus on playing, it's also common to trade for supplies and gear like POE 2 iteams while you keep your scrap usage reserved for pieces that actually matter. |
